Welcome from the Jazz Gourmet:

This website is dedicated to those individuals who love Jazz and enjoy preparing fine foods.  The site wasn’t constructed for the culinary savvy or elite, but intended for those individuals wishing not to fall into the cookbook status quo, and wish to embark upon an adventure immersed in aromas, flavors and textures one only finds in dishes prepared at the finer eateries.  These individuals are those who refuse to march to the same drummer as everyone else.  The Jazz Gourmet is a bit of a bohemian, a nonconformist, he’s not a chef; has no formal culinary training.  He’s an individual who enjoys and has a passion for cooking and a love for Jazz.  Because of his passion for both he was dubbed “The Jazz Gourmet” by friends and colleagues.  Originating in Los Angeles California where the cuisine is as varied as the people who live there, learning his basic cooking skills from his grandmother, and learning techniques from street vendors, family owned restaurant cooks/chefs from all over the world.   Traveling and teaching himself the epicurean science of combining spices, herbs, and the use of wines, liqueurs, spirits and oils to complement and enhance the flavors of seafood, poultry, lamb, pork, beef, vegetables and fruits.  His culinary discipline spans from Asian to European to the Americas.  Why should you dine out at five-star restaurant every time you want to enjoy gourmet food.  Learn how to prepare unique flavorful five-star dishes right in your own home with help of The Jazz Gourmet.  His appetizers are simple, yet exciting, his entrees are created to please and surprise one’s palate, and his desserts are in a word… sinful.  The Jazz Gourmet hopes everyone visiting this site will sample a recipe or two and experience its simplicity and enjoy the cuisine of "The Jazz Gourmet".
